Trauma Informed Yoga

I am trained in the THRIVE Trauma-Informed ® protocol/model, which has the following therapeutic goals:  

  1. Making Choices

  2. Embodiment

  3. Affect Regulation

  4. Self Compassion

  5. Tolerating Complexity.

Additionally, trauma informed yoga (TIY) provides emphasis on safety, choice and feeling. Throughout the session you will be invited to notice how the yoga shapes feel rather than what it should look like. It does not matter if you have ever done yoga before or do it all the time. Each session is for you, your needs, and where you are. Invitational language will be used for purposes of exploration. There are no physical assists and I will be going through the shapes with you.
